Friuli lives again the day of the Epiphany, emotions sunk in the deep distances of the history, entrusted hardly to a thin recall of memory, registered in the crystalline air that comes down from the PreAlps, perfume of sleet, grass, flakes of pine. In the morning the recalling of the Mass of the Spadone and the Mass of the Thaler animate, with the suggestion of the colored processions, the gestures and the music, the perfect setting of CIVIDALE and GEMONA, magically given back to the magnificient and strict atmosphere of the Aquileia's Patriarchy. In the evening, in TARCENTO, the Pignarùl Grant shines from Coia; and here the bonfires get inflammed on the hills and while the flames launch towards the sky, winnig the night and the cold, people still draw auspices for the new year. As in a luminous and strong witchcraft, will capture us the evocation of the Middle Ages' traditions, will fascinate us the magic of the fire, symbol of the sun that resumes force and vigor after the consumption of the winter and give new life to grass, animals and men. Tomorrow they will return in the vortex of a time not always human, but it will still heat a small piece of our heart the light of the great Epiphany in Friuli
